TS V7.296 15 May, 2013

TS V7.296 15 May, 2013

IMAGELog - in a color coded track, if using an overlay curve which is the same as the color code curve, gaps in the data will no longer be interpolated across the gap.

Data Loading - TerraStation attempts to guess the delimiter in incoming ASCII well data files.

Borehole Imaging - a right click option now permits the user to set the range for image histograms.

Petrophysics - the Winland core porosity plot has been added to the crossplot module.  This displays lines of constant pore throat radius.

DLIS Data Loading - some problems with non standard image file assignments have been resolved.

TS V7.295 8 May, 2013

TS V7.295 8 May, 2013
Sonic Waveform - one can now select a single receiver within the sonic waveform table editor.
General - batch plot file creation.  Generic plot lists can be created by using the extension ".plx" in the batch control file.  This will be replaced with a plotter specific extension at the time the batch file is run, i.e. ".cgm", or ".pdf", etc.
Data Export - the DLIS and LIS data exporter now provides an option to name the output file as the well name plus an appropriate file extension.
General - some new output curve long names for Statlith have been added to the system via the configuration file tlcrvdsc.v70. Also the curve categories applied to the Statlith output have been revised to be more precise.

TS V7.294 2 May, 2013

TS V7.294 2 May, 2013
Borehole Imaging - a problem with the display of data in a breakout track (introduced in V7.291) has been fixed.
Borehole Imaging - breakout tracks can now access breakout file B.
DLIS Data Loading - the loader will now look for the complementary acoustic image and attempt to auto load it.  That is, if loading an acoustic travel time image, the loader will look for an acoustic amplitude image and attempt to load it also.
Because of configuration uncertainties, this will only work if the default image file has not been previously loaded.  Users may still load the data using a manual configuration, as in the past.
DLIS Data Loading - the loader attempts to be more precise when it determines possible incoming images.  This should reduce clutter when selecting the image.
DLIS Data Loading - several problems with the process for loading slow channel data into an existing image have been corrected.  When loading the image and the slow channel data separately, the image should be loaded first, then the slow channel data.  Please let us know if you discover any problems with this sequence so it can be resolved.
Well Data Loading - Curve Intervals may now be loaded in either single or multi well mode via the Auxiliary Data Loader.  This option was previously labeled "Multi Well Curve" and required a well name column in the input file.
This option also permits the user to specify a default value for depth intervals which are not specified in the input file.
Petrophysics - the Statlith error report has been further enhanced. Also we fixed an error introduced in v7.292 if using a model with no non-linear equation.
Petrophysics - Statlith now automatically saves a sequence of curved biasness plots which can be viewed in the Crossplot module. You must use Crossplot in "Sequence of Plots" mode.

TS V7.293 24 April, 2013

TS V7.293 24 April, 2013

IMAGELog - supplying a suffix when curve shifting now applies to the first curve shifted as well as subsequent curves.

Borehole Imaging - the sand count histogram display had a coloring problem when using a logarithmic scale. This has been fixed.

Project Subsetting - a potential crash condition has been repaired in Project Subsetting.

DLIS Data Loading - when loading borehole images, the selection list now includes one of the curve mnemonics associated with the image to better identify the image context in the data file.

IMAGELog - a zooming problem when the "Adjust depth scale with scrollbar" setting is active, has been fixed. (This setting is under Edit/Preferences/IMAGELog.)

Petrophysics - Netpay - Net Pay ratios are now displayed in both the reference curve (e.g. TVDSS) and MD, if a non-MD reference curve is in use.

Petrophysics - Statlith - The Conductive mineral check box is only present when reviewing mineral components (and not fluids).

Borehole Imaging - new options to compute vug area per volume and vug volume per volume (vug porosity) have been added. These are seen on the pick functions tab under fracture density, with the function either "Fracture Area/Volume" or "Fracture Porosity".

Area per volume is the vug area divided by the volume of the borehole over a depth increment. Vug volume per volume uses the square root of (vug area / pi) to get an assumed (spherical) radius. The volume is then computed as 4/3 * pi * r^3.

TS V7.292 18 April, 2013

TS V7.292 17 April, 2013
DLIS Data Loading  - multi valued curves are no longer considered as potential "slow" channel curves.  I.e., the P1AZ curve must be a single valued curve, not an array curve.  This is to prevent erroneous matches as slow channel data is usually single valued.
Petrophysics  - an input model report option has been added to Statlith.
IMAGELog  - an option has been added to set add a "shift" suffix to the output curve names when shifting a group of curves.
General  - cell handling for TerraStation tables has been improved.

TS V7.291 11 April, 2013

TS V7.291 10 April, 2013
IMAGELog - configuration for Core Image Tracks has been redesigned.  If the track is to be used for image picking, use the new second tab controlling the pseudo image functions.  The user must declare the images as "suitable for picking" to prevent accidental data entry on images that were not properly configured.  Default values for new images can also be established.
Sonic Waveform - Anisotropy - a P1NO curve can now be created.  This curve is shifted by the inclinometry offset value.  It can be compared against the relative anisotropy angle curve.
Borehole Imaging - parameters can be used to flatten the dip or azimuth value, allowing the structural dip/azimuth to vary down the well.  This should not be used when adding picks.
DLIS Data Loading - the default setting for loading is set to "Match by WellName".  If a match is not found, the system will automatically switch into "Create New Well" mode.
Petrophysics - Crossplot. Added an option to display the Z color curve key as a large vertical key down the right hand side of the plot.  Option located on the Grid & Axes tab.
TCL - Resolved an issue with correctly handling negative arguments, such  as -GMSTAR  (equivalent to GMSTAR * -1).

TS V7.290 4 April, 2013

TS V7.290 4 April, 2013

Petrophysics - ROCKMOD - a problem with the Qv calculation has been fixed.

Petrophysics - ROCKMOD - curve units have been added for QV and CEC handling.

Borehole Image - the Scope setting in View/Edit Data has been moved above the Operation toggle list. This improves the work flow since the operations available are dependent upon the scope setting.

IMAGELog - the pick bubble help has been made more compact, and includes the Quality setting for the pick.

IMAGELog - the currently selected header and footer files are shown on the plot panel when plotting from IMAGELog.

IMAGELog - the bubble display for curve values will now show off-scale values when folding is active.
